Market Risk Analyst

Stamford, CT USA


As the Market Risk Analyst you'll work to identify, measure, and report daily risk and revenue mainly associated with the North American Natural Gas and Power markets (NAPG) and/or Global Petroleum markets (GP). 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

*  Verify daily PnL by book for the NAPG and/or GP line of business

*  Become a CXL super user

Use independent, 3rd party sources to verify commodity price 

*  Verify daily market risk by book for the NAPG and/or GP line of business

 Monitor Value at Risk (VaR) and Stress reports and run intraday risk measurements

Verify price series used in the VaR methodology

* Report and monitor daily risk and revenue. Including creating reports for senior management

Monitor trader limits and guidelines regarding approved products, tenors, and stop loss. 

*  Cross coverage of other commodities, regions, or books as needed

*  Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting on inventory, transportation, storage contracts, exchange and company position limits, etc.


Minimum experience of 2 years in the commodity trading environment, preferably as a scheduler, operator, risk analyst, trade or operations analyst, financial analyst or trading clerk.  This candidate must be self-sufficient and possess the resolution to withstand challenges regarding reporting and PnL accuracy.  Natural gas and power product knowledge is an advantage.

Senior Accountant

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and enter journal entries
  • Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations for selected accounts
  • Prepare monthly P&L analytics
  • Maintain lease accounting schedules and reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation of schedules for tax department
  • Liaise and coordinate with subsidiaries regarding accounting policies, procedures and reporting requirements
  • Research and evaluate the impact of International Financial Reporting standards and disclosure requirements
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly internal and external financial reports, including cashflows, branch financials, and compliance certificates for banks
  • Assist in 10+ year-end global audits including compilation of footnotes and population of financial statements
  • Assist with other projects as needed



  • Minimum of a 4year degree in Accounting required
  • 2-3 years of public accounting experience or equivalent experience desired; CPA a plus
  • Solid working knowledge of IFRS/GAAP/GAAS
  • Advanced computer skills are required; including familiarity with advanced Excel functionality
  • Detail oriented and well organized
  • Comfort working independently and on multiple projects
  • A logical thinker and problem solver

Credit Quantitative Analyst

Stamford, CT USA


We are seeking a Credit Quantitative Analyst to evaluate credit risk and liquidity by analyzing portfolio of credit exposures and requests for credit. Calculate exposure for prospective and existing trades, and simulate extreme financial scenarios to evaluate future risk exposures. Alert to early signs of financial stress or irregular trading. Consider credit worthiness of customers and trading counter-parties by analyzing financial statements and building risk models. Test and optimize trading strategies based on data analytics. Develop and document risk models, and integrate into risk platforms. The role does not involve the supervision of other employees.

We require a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, math, stats or a related quantitative discipline from an accredited U.S. university, or the foreign equivalent and one year of post-graduation experience in finance, accounting or a related quantitative position. We also require proficiency in SQL (standardized query language). The passing of a background check is also required.

This is a full-time role based at our Stamford, CT office on a Monday to Friday schedule, 40 plus hours per week, with an annual salary from $88,000 to $118,500.
