Junior Trade Accountant

  • Daily posting of realized transactions to general ledger for multiple legal entitites and reconciliation between trading system and general ledger.
  • Daily exchange margin posting to general ledger and daily reconciliations.
  • Daily calculation and posting of interest.

Credit Analyst

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Approving transactions within a local authority, consulting with leadership as necessary.
  • Helping to design data collection requirements necessary for examining the portfolio, and ensuring the ongoing integrity of the data.
  • Performing searches of publicly available data for information pertinent to proposed customers and counterparties.
  • Exploring different information sources for possible application to evaluating creditworthiness.

  • Intranet Management: Create, organize, and implement content updates.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the corporate websites (Freepoint Commodities and Freepoint Eco-Systems). Including working with the creative agency, PR Firm, and various department heads on content.

Business Analyst

Job Summary:

Freepoint Energy Solutions is seeking an IT Business Analyst to serve as a liaison between the business groups and IT, interacting with system users to bridge business needs with technology delivery. This individual works closely with stakeholders to enable business success through IT solutions. The IT Business Analyst is responsible for identifying, designing, and documenting the business requirements and provide technical support and solutions to meet business requirements or resolve business problems.


  • Works with IT and the business to identify opportunities for systematic or process improvements to reduce process inefficiencies and improve service levels.
  • Analyzing and evaluating the current business processes identifying opportunities for automation
  • Develops changes and solutions utilizing Python and SQL
  • Facilitate discussions for requirement gathering, design and solutioning.
  • Capture, analyze, refine, articulate, and record business requirements, acceptance criteria, & documentation.
  • Conducts walkthroughs, demos, and functionality feedback sessions with stakeholders
  • Work with IT and business to improve the adoption of existing and future solutions/applications
  • Assisting with implementation needs, including process clarifications, test case preparation and execution, when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other IT functional areas to remain apprised of the project status, and inform business of progress
  • Creates and manages timelines and project plans
  • Supports and maintains internal IT processes (ex: Incident Management) and associated documentation. May improve existing approaches.
  • Supports thorough problem management as the coordinator after incidents including in-depth Root Cause Analysis, Countermeasures and Solution planning
  • Participate in regular scheduled team meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in the role of IT Business Analyst or IT Business Architect
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience utilizing SQL and Python to automate business processes
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in all aspects of designing and constructing business and system processes
