Pricing Analyst for Freepoint Energy Solutions LLC

Freepoint Energy Solutions LLC, headquartered in Houston, TX, is a subsidiary of Freepoint Commodities LLC, a global commodities trading firm. Freepoint Energy Solutions is committed to being an intelligent and transparent retail energy supplier for commercial and industrial customers.
We’re looking for a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our Pricing team. The Pricing Analyst will work as part of a growing team to structure retail energy transactions; managing various products, markets, and partners. Additional duties may include developing or improving retail power pricing models, creating or checking daily price matrices, and developing or improving tools for retail energy risk analytics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute transactional processes generating electricity pricing for end-use commercial and industrial customers
- Analyze historic and forecasted customer energy consumption
- Run pricing algorithms and validate outcomes
- Communicate and collaborate extensively with sales and sales support teams
- Analyze data and provide insights to improve pricing models and process
- Model tariff and market costs
- Update market information in pricing models
- Track and report key metrics related to deal flow
- Assess competitive landscape
- Assist with other projects as assigned by Management
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to analyze information, solve problems and make fact-based decisions
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 0 –3 years previous work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills
- Able to work in fast paced transactional environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to quickly gain proficiency in other systems supporting Freepoint
- Energy experience preferred, but not required

Sales Support Analyst for Freepoint Energy Solutions LLC

Work in tandem with senior Sales staff to support our Brokers and achieve sales targets.
o Analyze inbound requests for proposals, coordinate responses and planning with internal Sales staff
o Act as a primary point of contact for tracking opportunities, responding to partner enquiries, and gathering data/ information needed to create competitive bids to serve customer energy needs
o Effectively manage changes to commercial bids and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
o Engage with diverse internal stakeholders to gather feedback and input on commercial decisions
o Understand each broker's unique business model and implement effective strategies of communication
o Proactively consult with existing brokers to identify needs and promote commercial products
o Respond to inbound commercial requests and queries via telephone and email from our broker partners
o Provide follow-up to pending Broker requests and communicate effective resolution
o Analyze complex transaction requests, manage the communication between many internal stakeholders, and provide detailed feedback to external partners
o Develop product, market, and process knowledge to be a resource for our partners
o Develop and utilize sales skills to manage and influence close ratio of broker business
o Assist with other projects as assigned by Management
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Retail energy industry experience preferred but not required
• Best-in-class written and verbal communication skills
• Track record of organization and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
• Ability to drive results with a strong competitive push to be the best
• Ability to analyze information, solve problems and make quick, fact-based decisions
