Job Summary:

Freepoint Energy Solutions is seeking an IT Business Analyst to serve as a liaison between the business groups and IT, interacting with system users to bridge business needs with technology delivery. This individual works closely with stakeholders to enable business success through IT solutions. The IT Business Analyst is responsible for identifying, designing, and documenting the business requirements and provide technical support and solutions to meet business requirements or resolve business problems.

Duties:

  • Works with IT and the business to identify opportunities for systematic or process improvements to reduce process inefficiencies and improve service levels.
  • Analyzing and evaluating the current business processes identifying opportunities for automation
  • Develops changes and solutions utilizing Python and SQL
  • Facilitate discussions for requirement gathering, design and solutioning.
  • Capture, analyze, refine, articulate, and record business requirements, acceptance criteria, & documentation.
  • Conducts walkthroughs, demos, and functionality feedback sessions with stakeholders
  • Work with IT and business to improve the adoption of existing and future solutions/applications
  • Assisting with implementation needs, including process clarifications, test case preparation and execution, when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other IT functional areas to remain apprised of the project status, and inform business of progress
  • Creates and manages timelines and project plans
  • Supports and maintains internal IT processes (ex: Incident Management) and associated documentation. May improve existing approaches.
  • Supports thorough problem management as the coordinator after incidents including in-depth Root Cause Analysis, Countermeasures and Solution planning
  • Participate in regular scheduled team meetings

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in the role of IT Business Analyst or IT Business Architect
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience utilizing SQL and Python to automate business processes
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in all aspects of designing and constructing business and system processes

We're seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our fast-paced commodities business using automated A/P solution (Metaviewer) and Great Plains. This role requires the ability to review invoices and determine appropriate ledger coding in multiple currencies using analytical skills and attention to detail. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Process global accounts payable invoices, in multiple currencies using automated AP solution and ensure invoices are properly approved and paid in a timely fashion
  • Code disbursements using company chart of accounts by allocating costs to specific cost centers, projects, and legal entity, including identification of costs to be capitalized vs expensed
  • Process A/P payments which includes printing checks, producing ACH batches, and initiating wire payments in both USD and foreign currencies
  • Ensure vendors are properly onboarded by liaising with global onboarding team and ensuring vendor information is maintained
  • Maintain vendor payment instructions and adhere to company callback policy regarding change in payment instructions
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies and respond to all vendor inquiries
  • Respond to employee and vendor inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Assist with other projects as needed

    The ideal candidate will have:
  • 3+ years of A/P experience, Great Plains knowledge a plus
  • Associates Degree or above
  • Computer skills are required, including knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Detail oriented, analytical, must be well organized and a self-starter

Accounting Manager

Join this growing Advanced Recycling & Material Recovery business with locations in the US and Europe. This individual will set up a chart of accounts, establish policies and procedures and be responsible for developing systems and system controls to ensure accurate and timely reporting/filing for the business. Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and enter journal entries, as necessary
  • Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations for selected accounts
  • Maintain lease accounting schedules and reconciliations
  • Review expenditures to ensure they have been properly coded using company chart of accounts by ensuring costs are allocated to the appropriate project, legal entity and g/l account, including identification of costs to be capitalized vs expensed
  • Establish and maintain fixed asset policies and schedules for intangible (development) and tangible (plant) assets
  • Research and evaluate impact of International Financial Reporting standards and disclosure requirements
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly internal and external financial reports, including cashflows
  • Assist in the evaluation of proposed new business transactions and document proper accounting treatment under IFRS.
  • Assist in documentation of financial policies and procedures of the organization and collaborate on memos summarizing accounting policies of significance.
  • Assist in preparation of audited financial statements and provide support to external auditors.
  • Provide support to the indirect tax group to ensure compliance with all Federal and state indirect tax filing obligations.
  • Work with trade accounting team to ensure proper recording of revenue and expenses in trading system
  • Assist in preparation of profit & loss, balance sheet and expense analytical reports for Eco-systems leadership teams.
  • Work with Corporate financial reporting and management reporting teams to ensure proper reporting to Freepoint Senior Management
  • Other project work as needed.

    The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience with refinery or manufacturing business preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.
  • Strong research and writing, and oral communication skills.

    The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • 10+ years of A/P experience, with 5 in Manager position
  • Great Plains knowledge a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Computer skills are required, including knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Detail oriented, analytical, well organized and a self-starter

This position is in-office Monday through Thursday and WFH on Friday
