Junior Trade Accountant

  • Daily posting of realized transactions to general ledger for multiple legal entitites and reconciliation between trading system and general ledger.
  • Daily exchange margin posting to general ledger and daily reconciliations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Approving transactions within a local authority, consulting with leadership as necessary.
  • Helping to design data collection requirements necessary for examining the portfolio, and ensuring the ongoing integrity of the data.

Sales Analyst for Freepoint Energy Solutions LLC

We’re looking for a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team. The Sales Analyst will work as part of a growing, fun and engaging team managing the broker sales channel at Freepoint Energy. This team is critical to building a strong and sustainable sales partner base for the organization, and this position will work collaboratively with multiple internal teams.  The Sales Analyst will provide support and coordination among the senior Sales staff, internal Pricing & Operations teams, and our brokers; improving sales efficiency and deal close ratios. This position will allow the individual to regularly interact with many areas within Freepoint Energy Solutions such as Pricing, Operations, IT, Customer Service and Legal.


  • Work in tandem with senior Sales staff to support our Brokers and achieve sales targets.
    • Analyze inbound requests for proposals, coordinate responses and planning with internal Sales staff
    • Act as a primary point of contact for tracking opportunities, responding to partner enquiries, and gathering data/ information needed to create competitive bids to serve customer energy needs
    • Effectively manage changes to commercial bids and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
    • Engage with diverse internal stakeholders to gather feedback and input on commercial decisions
    • Understand each broker's unique business model and implement effective strategies of communication
    • Proactively consult with existing brokers to identify needs and promote commercial products
    • Respond to inbound commercial requests and queries via telephone and email from our broker partners
    • Provide follow-up to pending Broker requests and communicate effective resolution
    • Analyze complex transaction requests, manage the communication between many internal stakeholders, and provide detailed feedback to external partners
    • Develop product, market, and process knowledge to be a resource for our partners
    • Develop and utilize sales skills to manage and influence close ratio of broker business

Operations Analyst

Operations Analyst- Clearing/Power and Gas

The Individual in the role will be part of a team that is responsible for reconciling all of our futures, swaps, and options, both domestically (primary) and in support of our international businesses. The individual will be responsible for ensuring the data in the Freepoint trade capture system mirror the positions for the various exchange clearinghouses. The individual will also be the responsible party to monitor our Exchange APIs through which we receive all our financially cleared trades, trouble shooting issues with automated trade entry, and working hand in hand with internal and external technical teams. Along with responsibilities in Clearing described above they will contribute to our Power and Gas operations support which will entail assisting in confirmations(contracts) and settlements of physical and financial bilateral OTC transactions. This will provide an opportunity to work with our Counterparties and the various Independent System Operators(Power Grid Operators) throughout the country.

Reconciliations must be monitored and as necessary conducted on an adhoc basis throughout the trading day and all breaks communicated to the respective traders, desks promptly. All breaks must be resolved by Trade Date + 1 by working with the traders, clearinghouses and brokers.

Other daily responsibilities may include, reconciling brokerage fees, trader setups/onboarding, communicating with clearing firms, compliance monitoring, position reporting, p&l recaps, invoicing, contract review, and working with software developers to create and improve current workflow and systems.

The role entails a sizable amount of work with data and IT groups on technical issues.

There is significant exposure to the front office and candidates who worked in this role previously have had opportunities to move up and advance their careers.

There are also many opportunities to work alongside different groups within Freepoint on an ad hoc basis. The operations group is a great place to quickly gain knowledge on all commodity types and how they are traded. Monitor our Internal Trade Capture system helping to validate new trades received from API Feeds from Exchanges
