Jeffrey Wang

Mr. Wang brings 20 years of experience in the energy and commodities industry to Freepoint. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where he led J. Aron & Company’s Asia Pacific Ex-Japan (APEJ) commodity sales team in Singapore. In this role, he was responsible for the team’s growth strategy, product development, and senior corporate and institutional client relationships. He also played a key role in the firm’s Greater China growth strategy and helped establish Goldman’s onshore commodities business.

Before joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Wang held roles within Morgan Stanley’s Commodities Marketing and Crude Trading businesses, where he managed commodities hedging and proprietary trading activities for Asian clients before building and leading the firm’s physical crude trading business in Asia. Earlier in his career, he worked at BP, focusing on trading analytics, risk control, and physical optimization across multiple product lines.

Mr. Wang earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and a Master’s degree in Management, with a concentration in Innovation Strategy and Economics, from Tsinghua University in China.
